Today marks my thirty fourth name day.
Father has received a peachee turnip as a gift for today. The ceremony will be hold in the castle hall tonight. Maester Odai will be with us, it is also his name day. He has seen more winters than any of us. I am only a summer boy. This summer was long and people say that winter will be even longer.
I hope the townfolks will be by numbers for the feast. We will all enjoy the peach turnip as it is maybe one of the last vegetables we will be eating for years to come.
Winter is coming.
